De Chinese pianiste Peng Lin (1993) won in 2012 de 1ste prijs bij de Rhodes International Piano Competition. Ze maakte haar debuut in Lincoln Centre in 2015 met het Julliard Orkest gedirigeerd door Peter Oundjian. Ze was laureaat van bekende competities, waaronder Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition, Antwerp International Piano Competition en UK Open Piano International Piano Competition. Ze stond op de podia in Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Weill Hall, Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ en de Shanghai Concert Hall.
Peng is geboren in Kalangsu (Gulangyu), hét ‘piano eiland’ van China, ze ontving op haar zestiende een vol scholarship voor Julliard School of Music. Ze behaalde achtereenvolgend haar Bachelor of Music en Master of Music op Julliard, haar Master of Musical Arts van Yale School of Music en haar Artist Diploma aan het Royal College of Music.
