Master Classes with Renowned Violinist Takashi Shimizu!
We are pleased to announce that Takashi Shimizu, Renowned Violinist , will be joining the 2024 IHMS Festival from 28th of July to 4th of August.
About Takashi Shimizu: Hailing from Yokosuka, Japan, Takashi Shimizu embarked on his musical journey at the tender age of 6 under the tutelage of S. Tokunaga and S. Sumi. His remarkable talent shone bright as he clinched the first prize in the All Japan Student Music Competition at just 10 years old, marking the beginning of an illustrious career.
Under the guidance of luminaries like Jascha Heifetz, Michèle Auclair, and Yehudi Menuhin, Takashi Shimizu’s mastery of the violin has captivated audiences across more than fifty countries on six continents. From prestigious venues in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to esteemed orchestras in Eastern Europe, his performances have left an indelible mark on the world of classical music.
