Sophia Jaffé (Violin)

Sophia Jaffé grew up and immersed in Berlin’s rich musical traditions. She first performed as a soloist in the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie at just seven years old, foreshadowing a career marked by distinction and versatility. Her laurels include prizes at the Leopold Mozart, Concours de Genève, and Queen Elisabeth Competitions. Jaffé has collaborated with major orchestras, including the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and the DSO Berlin, under conductors such as Marek Janowski. Her repertoire spans centuries, from beloved classics to groundbreaking contemporary works, and she is equally at home on the concert stage and in the recording studio. Currently a professor at Frankfurt University of Music, she combines a vibrant performing career with a dedication to mentoring young talent.
