Nicolas Ventura
Italian pianist Nicolas Ventura (b. 1997) is an emerging talent in the UK, Italy and Europe, his thought and passion taking shape in his carefully chosen repertoire. He has played extensively in Italy, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Spain and the UK. Recently Nicolas has been heard at Jacqueline Du Pré Music Building in Oxford, Duke's Hall and Brazilian Embassy in London, Palau de Musica Catalana in Barcelona, Fazioli Concert Hall, Teatro Manzoni in Pastoia, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Sölitar at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Castle of Kalmar, Florianka Concert Hall Kraków and Danube Palace in Budapest.
He received many awards including the "Sir Reginald Thatchers Prize", "Franz Simmons Prize" and the "Goethe Bequest Award" and a diploma from the Royal Academy of Music for his extraordinary performance at his last recital.
Nicolas has performed regularly as a soloist and with orchestra. Recently he played works by Beethoven, Liszt and Rachmaninov in collaboration with Orchestra Sinfonica di Choggia, Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacau and the Danube Symphony Orchestra. He also plays regularly in chamber music ensembles, making transcriptions of Prokofiev's "Scythian Suite" and Copland's "Limcoln Portrait."
A Tuscan native, Nicolas studied with Konstantin Bogino and Tatiana Sarkissova. He is an alumnus of the Conservatorio "Cesare Pollini" in Padua, where he graduated with highest honors. He then studied at the Royal Academy in London where he graduated First Class. He is currently continuing his studies for his Artist Diploma there in the class of Dina Parakhina.
He participated in master classes of Boris Berman, Benedetto Lupo, Anna Malikova, Håkan Autsbo, Imogen Cooper, Dmitri Alexeev, Marios Papadopoulos, Venessa Latarche, Pavel Gililov and Arie Vardi.
