Mirsa Adami
Pianist Mirsa Adami began her piano studies in Tirana with Elsa Veizi and Takuina Adami. At a young age she played there with various orchestras and gave many recitals around the country. In 1991 she came to the Netherlands to continue her studies, first with Jan Huizing in Groningen and later with Jan Wijn at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. She graduated with honors as a performing musician in 2000 and has since been associated as a repetiteur at De Nieuwe Opera Academie in Amsterdam. She has performed several times at the Prinsengracht Festival as well as given concerts in the Netherlands and other countries such as Italy, France, Germany, Estonia and Japan. In 2004 she made her debut in the Great Hall of The Concertgebouw with Prokofiev's third piano concerto with the VU Orchestra conducted by Daan Admiraal. She played Rachmaninoff's second piano concerto with the Kennermer Youth Orchestra conducted by Mathijs Broers in the Concertgebouw in Haarlem. With the same piano concerto she performed solo in her hometown of Tirana with the Albanian Broadcasting Orchestra conducted by Russian conductor Leonid Nikolayev. In the 2008 | 2009 season, she played the piano concertos of Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven and Von Weber.
