Kento Kuroiwa
Japanese violinist Kento Kuroiwa (b. 2005) won the Austrian 'International Beethoven Competition for Violin 2021' - category 18-30 years; 'EuroAsia International Competition 2021' under 18 in Japan followed by the 3rd prize at 'The 4th International Nalęczów & Violin Competition 2019' - under 19 in Poland and reached the semi-finals in 'Il Piccolo violin magico' 2017 and 2018 two years in a row.
Kento began playing the violin at age 5 and made his debut as a soloist at age 8 with members of the NHK Symphony Orchestra in Japan. Kento played recitals in Tokyo, Paris and Haarlem and gave many concerts, playing in master classes and festivals around the world. He is also very fond of chamber music. Kento received the Yamaha Music Scholarship in 2019 for 3 years.
He studied with Susanne Gessner in CRR de Paris and is currently studying with Takashi Shimizu in Tokyo where he also attends the International School.
