Ordinary Gifts:
These are one-time or recurring donations that you decide upon each year, even via automatic debit. Ordinary gifts are tax-deductible if the total exceeds a certain income-based threshold. However, there is a maximum limit for deduction.
Periodic Gifts:
By committing to donate a fixed amount annually for at least five years, you can bypass thresholds entirely. Previously, this required a notarial deed, but now it’s as simple as completing a written agreement that we can provide. Periodic gifts are fully deductible without limits.
Cultural ANBI Multiplier:
For Cultural ANBIs like IHMS, individuals can deduct 1.25 times the donated amount on their income tax returns. Businesses can deduct 1.5 times the donation. Note that individuals can apply this multiplier to a maximum additional deduction of €1,250 across all qualifying gifts.
Legacies:
As a Cultural ANBI, IHMS is exempt from inheritance tax on bequests and gifts, ensuring your legacy contributes fully to nurturing musical talent.
