Sander Sittig
Press and audiences praise Sander Sittig's poetic and personal piano playing, which has made him one of the most in-demand Dutch pianists. It is also these abilities that have made him the chamber musician of choice and are reason for great musicians to ask Sander Sittig to accompany them on their concerts and tours throughout Europe, North and South America, Japan, China and Israel. Thus he has played with master violinist Shlomo Mintz, among others, in Shanghai, Istanbul, Geneva and Madrid, with the great Russian violinist Pavel Berman in Jerusalem and with Dutch Music Prize winners Liza Ferschtman and Maria Milstein at many concerts in the Netherlands, as well as in Brussels, Bratislava and at festivals in Switzerland and Austria.
In addition, Sander Sittig can be heard on many stages as a soloist. He has played as soloist with orchestras in Spain, the Czech Republic and Italy and gives recitals at home and abroad, where his oral explanations, often with visual support, are highly appreciated.
Sander was trained with Jan Wijn (Conservatory of Amsterdam). Already during this study he was invited to make his debut as soloist in Beethoven's Fifth Piano Concerto in De Doelen in Rotterdam, and made radio and Tv recordings. This was followed by awards at the Tromp Concours (Eindhoven), as well as in Epinal, Rome and Palm Beach.
Sander made CD recordings as a soloist (Piano Concertos and chamber music by Mozart), with violinist Benjamin Scherer Quesada and with the Incantation Ensemble. In the coming season he will be heard with Röntgen's Second Piano Concerto (Utrecht), Beethoven's complete sonatas for piano and violin (Rome) and many recitals with Shlomo Mintz and Hawijch Elders.
