Rahel Rupprechter
Austrian cellist Rahel Rupprechter (born 1998) began playing the cello at the age of 6. She received her first preparatory lessons from Michael Hell (2012) at the Tyrolean State Conservatory. Since 2018, Rahel has been taking lessons in Reinhard Latzko's cello class at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
Rahel has won the Australian Competition "Prima la Musica) several times. She has a scholarship from the Eva Lind Music Academy Tyrol and was admitted to the "Live Music Now" Foundation Vienna in 2021. Rahel received many musical impulses from personalities such as David Geringas, Jerome Pernoo, Miklos Perenyi, Norbert Anger and Yo-Yo ma.
Rahel plays regularly in various orchestras including the Tyrolean Chamber Orchestra Innstrumenti, the Vienna Jeunesses Orchestra and the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbrück. She is founder and artistic director of the string orchestra "inn.wien ensemble". Rahel is also a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra 2020. 2021 and 2022 and she performed at the Wiener Musikverein and the Semperoper Dresden.
She is a passionate chamber musician, and shared the stage with Reinhard Latzko, Ernst Kovacic and others.
