Chisa Kitagawa
Japanese violinist Chisa Kitagawa, violin (1997) began playing the violin at the age of 3.
She received her first lessons from Yoko Aiyama. With Takashi Simizu, Chisa took the Suziki method from 2000 - 2012 in Gifu, then she studied in his class at Tokyo University of Arts (2012-2019) and in 2019 she began the Graduate course at Toho Gakuen School of Music. Chisa won 11 International competitions so far, the latest prizes she won at the III Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition - 2nd prize, at The Music Competition Japan 2020 - 1st prize and the audience prize and at the II Singapore International Violin Competition Chisa won the 2nd prize and the audience prize.
Chisa soloed with many orchestras including the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra, Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra etc. At the Rohm Music Theatre Kyoto, she performed Kreisler's violin concerto. She also performed in Russia, the Netherlands, France,Hungary, Italy, Poland, Austria, China and Singapore.
