Master class Leonid Gorokhov; understanding the cello tone

A master class with British cellist Leonid Gorokhov is like a collection of stories about the life of a young musician on his way to the top. Gorokhov entered the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg as a twelve-year-old boy and not much later came under the tutelage of young talent inspiration and coach Lord Yehudi Menuhin. These experiences Gorokhov now shares with today's greatest cello talents. The much-loved cello teacher at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover not only gives many mental lessons that are also of great interest to non-musicians, he also gives a fascinating insight into that warm melancholic cello tone in the Remonstrant Church in Alkmaar.
