Chair
Francine (Drs. F.C.) Giskes served as a member of the Board of the Netherlands Court of Audit until October 15, 2020. From 2009 to 2015, she was the Mayor of Texel. Between 2004 and 2009, she worked as a mediator and held various advisory roles. From 1994 to 2004, Giskes was a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for D66. Prior to that, she worked in various roles within government and the private sector, connected to her academic background in economic geography and urban planning.
Giskes also served as Chair of the Supervisory Board of HIVOS (Humanist Institute for Development Cooperation) for six years and was Chair of the Pension Register Foundation from its inception until 2015.
Francine Giskes grew up in Alkmaar, where she attended the Murmellius Gymnasium. She currently resides on Texel. A lover of classical music, she is striving to elevate her piano playing to a higher level.
